Thorium Ionization Energy
The Thorium Ionization Energy is the energy required to remove from atom one mole of electrons with subsequent production of positively charged ion of Thorium.
Th -> Th+ + e- This process can be repeated many times, but the energy cost is increased dramatically. The general equation for the Thorium is: ThN+ -> Th(N+1)+ + e- Ionization Energy
Th -> Th1+ = 587 kJ/mol = 140.43 Kcal/mol
Th1+ -> Th2+ = 1110 kJ/mol = 265.55 Kcal/mol Th2+ -> Th3+ = 1978 kJ/mol = 473.21 Kcal/mol Th3+ -> Th4+ = 2780 kJ/mol = 665.07 Kcal/mol |
